We really look forward to the weekends. Wait all week for them...and they're usually gone just as you are really starting to relax. Living so close to the city, we both look for any chance to escape to the woods and be outside in the.....non-city life. While we really love where we are in the city, Conor and I would both prefer to be in more woodsy areas.
Note I just started three sentences with W's..that is impressive.
Anyway...it just so happens my family lives in New Hampshire, which makes for a great escape for us. Typically I work Monday to Saturdayish, but every now and then I get a Monday off. Two whole days in a row off is actually..awesome and I really appreciate it when it happens, so much so I bully Conor into taking the day off too.
So that is what we did this past weekend. Jumped in the car and drove north, It was wonderful and much needed. We slept in, ate copious amounts of bacon for breakfast, climbed a mountain, went apple picking and made an awesome dinner (which I will soon share). Also we met a cat named Spice who sold us some soap, she was quite the sales lady. If only we can figure out how to make every weekend like this.
